Near to a Plain Music Genre Classification

چکیده
This paper describes the algorithm submitted to the Audio Genre Classification task organized for the MIREX 2007 contest. The algorithm has been designed after many tests using different sets of descriptors, different classifiers and tested into different databases. The purpose of all these tests is to create a general system that is capable to deal with different databases and environments. This paper describes the current implementation that establishes the baseline for specific improvements.
